Parking

Ample parking is available on the campus across multiple car parks. Disabled parking is also plentiful. More information on this will be sent to you after booking on a course.

Travel

The closest train station is St Austell which is 0.7 miles from the College.

The closest airport is Newquay which is around 30 minutes drive from the College.

Coaches stop in St Austell and there are a number of local bus services.

Local Amenities

Within walking distance of the college is a Tesco Extra supermarket which is a good place to get something for lunch if you don’t bring it with you. Within 15 minutes drive there are multiple places to shop for food or visit a cafe.

There is a wide variety of accommodation locally. As Cornwall is a holiday destination, it’s always a good idea to book as early as possible, especially in the summer. It is high season for visitors to Cornwall between May and September. During the school holidays in July and August, it can be particularly difficult to book if you leave it too late. Closest Places to Stay

Travelodge St Austell – Pentewan Road, St Austell, Cornwall, PL25 5BU 
Tel: 08719 846160 – Located near the centre of the idyllic market town of St Austell, the Travelodge is within walking distance of the CSACJ studio (around 25 minutes), the bay and several other local amenities. 

Karmary Guest House – recommended by students, this guest house is eight minutes walk from St Austell Station and 11 minutes walk from the CSACJ studio. Close to an Aldi supermarket and highly rated on Booking.com, this is a great place to stay if you don’t have your own transport.

Group Accommodation

For some of our longer classes or master classes, you may be able to save money if you get a group together and book self catering in a larger property. Here are some local places you might like to consider.

YHA Eden Project Youth Hostel – YHA Eden Project (powered by Snoozebox) is a unique place to stay and is perfectly in tune with its eco-friendly surroundings! You can stay in a single gender dorm room which is a great budget option and good for groups travelling together. Around 10 minutes drive from the school.

Eden’s Yard Backpackers – Check out Eden’s Yard Backpackers hostel for a cheaper alternative to hotels and B&B’s in Cornwall. Dorm style rooms with bunk beds, from £15 a night per person including DIY toasty breakfast. Cooked breakfast and evening meals can be provided for additional cost or you can self cater in their courtyard kitchen. You can also book a whole 6 bed or 8 bed dorm for your party – rates are really good. Low season is April, May, September and October so this is the cheapest time of year to book. If you’re planning to come to Cornwall for a course this would be a great choice if you’re bringing family or planning a retreat for your jewellery making friends! Budget Options

YHA Eden Project Youth Hostel – YHA Eden Project (powered by Snoozebox) is a unique place to stay and is perfectly in tune with its eco-friendly surroundings. You can stay in a single gender dorm room which is a great budget option. Or choose one of the hostel’s private en-suite bedrooms which are made from recycled shipping containers and are fully kitted out with high-spec bathrooms and all the mod-cons you’d expect from a hostel!
