The Cornwall School of Art, Craft and Jewellery specialises in classes and courses in metal clay and allied subjects. It is based on the St Austell campus of Cornwall College so it benefits from on-site parking and a vibrant campus environment. Director and principal tutor Julia Rai has been working with metal clay for many years and is internationally well known in the metal clay community.

CSACJ offer scheduled classes and courses all year round. You can see our class schedule in chronological order here. If you are a metal clay beginner, our half day taster class is a great way to find out about it. More advanced metal clay artists can find classes and courses in metal clay that will challenge them. We also offer master classes with internationally well-known tutors. These are particularly popular with people who are serious about developing their skills.

Julia is a Certified PMC® Instructor and an Art Clay World approved instructor. She teaches accredited metal clay qualification classes for Art Clay and PMC brands. Julia has taught hundreds of students since she first began teaching classes and courses in metal clay in 2007.

You can also take a private class with Julia. Private classes are the quickest way to develop your skills or learn all about metal clay. They particularly appeal to people who have a little knowledge or a strong background in craft, jewellery making or ceramics. Private classes can be scheduled to meet your requirements and time table.
