If you have already attended our Taster or Beginners Silver Clay class you’ll be fine on this one. You’ll be guided through every step by Julia Rai who is an experienced silver clay tutor. She will make sure you come out with some great jewellery.
This two day course will introduce you to new silver clay techniques with more advanced projects in a relaxed atmosphere. The emphasis will be on building confidence and focusing on fun and new techniques. You may also like to consider a complementary skills private class like making your own unique textures or adding colour to your metal clay jewellery.
During this course you’ll create:-
- a stone set pendant using a fire-in-place faceted stone
- a leaf pendant
- a syringe decorated ring
- a pair of earrings using PMC Sheet
- a glass cabochon pendant
What metal clay skills will you learn?
During the two days, you’ll learn the following skills:-
- How to set fire-in-place stones
- Create a leaf using paste
- Ring making
- Syringe work
- Using PMC Sheet

Julia will help you to create beautiful fine silver jewellery in whatever style you choose. At the end of the two day course you’ll have enough knowledge and confidence to create more complex pieces of silver clay jewellery using the appropriate clay for your design.
This course is suitable for anyone with a bit of basic silver clay experience and for people who need a bit more time to learn new things. There is no pressure and Julia will work with individuals at their own pace to ensure they achieve their goals for the course.
How much metal clay is included in the price?
All the materials and equipment you need to make the set projects will be provided if you work at the suggested sizes. The value of the materials included in the class cost is over £120.
